Prudent Daughter

Our goal for this website is to (A) Equip you in the Word of God, (B) encourage you, and (C) we want you to know that you are not alone.

Paul in Ephesians tells us that we are to put on the full  armor of God ~ Ephesians 6:10-18.

According to Paul our sword, which is our only, weapon in the battle against the spiritual forces of wickedness, world forces of this darkness, and against the rulers, is the Sword of the Spirit which is the WORD of GOD. The sword is also the last thing mentioned in this list, because the LORD fights for us, but we also need to make sure that we are girding our loins with truth, the truth of God’s Word. Putting on the breastplate of righteousness, which only comes from Jesus Christ and knowing His Words. Slipping on your feet the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace, again knowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which comes from studying Jesus Christ in both the Old and New testaments. The Shield of Faith comes from believing in the LORD Jesus Christ who is GOD. Last but not least, the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of GOD!

So, what is the Word of GOD??? It is the Bible. The very breath of GOD, who spoke these Words to prophets of the Old Testament and to the apostles of the New Testament. Which means that if this is our only weapon and most of our protection comes from the Word of GOD, and it stands against the evil forces of darkness, we need to know it and know it well.
This website has been designed for you to learn ways to study the Bible on your own, commentary’s can be good, but studying the Bible word for word on your own, knowing the very Words of GOD for yourself, nothing, and I do mean NOTHING can beat that. Because you have studied it, you A) know where it is at on the page of your Bible, B) you own it because you know it, C) when you are reading or listening to others teaching you have the ability to discern truth from false teaching, which is what we are called to do, and this only comes from knowing truth! D) Knowing the very Words of GOD will help you be able to stand and answer questions from people.

So how do we at The Prudent Daughter teach you how to study the Bible? We use the SMART method that we came up with.

S.M.A.R.T 

S = Study the Bible. We use the Inductive Study Method to study God’s Word

M = Meditate/memorize God’s Word.

A = Accept/Awaken to the truth of GOD’s Word.

R = Read – which is different from studying the Word

T = Take Action – the Bible is not a hear only Book! We are to hear and live out the truth we are learning from God’s word. Don’t hold it all inside TAKE ACTION, let God’s Word Change YOU! 

You don’t have to follow this, but we use it as a guide line, to know the truth of God’s word. We have boot camp’s for our soldiers they learn how to use their weapons and their protective gear, and so that they are prepared to fight. We have the Bible to show us how to use our weapons of the Spirit and fight in the battle against the evil forces of darkness.

Our heart is to be here to encourage you along this path less traveled, we are here for you!!! Our prayer is that you are strengthen in the LORD! Psalm 19 is one of my personal chapters of encouragement. By knowing who our God is and knowing His word we are able to stand and be lights in this world.
